Fri Mar 15, 19 1:16 pm Winter Kiting - Maui or Eastern Caribbean |
|
|
Hi,
Just thought I would ask the forum....I have kited in Turks and Caicos (Long Bay), Baja (La Ventana and LB)...and wondering people's opinion on the Eastern Caribbean vs Maui? St. Kitts, St. Lucia....looking for a spot next December or January where the wind is consistent every day (20+kph would be ideal).
Long Bay in Turks is awesome when it goes....but it is somewhat inconsistent from day to day.
Anyone with any experience in Maui vs Eastern Caribbean? Grenandine, St. Kitts, etc?
This is for next winter but need to plan now. Thanks! |

The trade winds in Maui stop blowing in November.
December and January are anything but consistent.
Best to try somewhere else. |

.....but that’s when the wave season goes off the hook, and you could get 10 days in a row! Just like a box of chocolates, you just never know... Just sayin. No Ka Oi |

St. Lucia Jan - March is so, so good. Expect to ride your 10m 80% of the days. The area down by Coconut bay has both small waves and great flat water at high tide. Highly recommend |
