big kites are a subject, that, like helium, seems to turn up from time to time. been off-line for a while, thought i would wade in. . .

i had occasion to buy and fly a 17.5 machine in st lucia last month, and honestly, if MAY have had a 3-4kt advantage over my 13m fuel, but certainly no more. . .i have flown a 15m fuel for years, and both kites turn slow and are a biatch to transport, pump up and fly. its the same old melody: do i really want to wallow down wind in 10 knots? or sit on the beach and talk to my beautiful wife?

maybe i am gettng older (dang, i AM getting older), but big kites, even the bows, just really dont deliver. imho
