The gorge is starting up the next few days. Roosevelt all the way to Hood should be good the couple days. Anyone planning on getting some this week?

Low.
Typical summertime flow at Rufus is 225 ish.
This only applies to Rufus .... not an issue for Hood River or further out east.
It can be good swell up to 280-290. If it's 300 or above - chances are the flow will be too strong to form into smooth swell.
Spring runoff (May - June) can be over 300.

I'm wondering... what's the best water temperature in the gorge? It seems like colder water would make the water slightly harder (closer to ice) and make for faster reaches.
