Headed south to moab (bike0 before kite season. Wondering if anyone can give a real time report and what snow conditions are in southern ID or skyline or where ever you suggest?

Any suggestions are great!

I guess Skyline has lots of snow but its spring so wind & conditions may vary drastically - daily. The "Kiters with Attitude" page on facetard is updated frequently with current conditions there. Looking at the webcam for Strawberry - seems pretty bony.

SE Idaho spots are mostly not kiteable except the Island Park spots & Raynolds Pass was great last weekend. Seems like most years brings our biggest snowstorm somewhere really close to Easter in Montana. Overall though spring is a crapshoot without a snowmobile & timing is everything for the remaining park & ride spots

Island Park & Raynolds Pass are very close to each other. There are 3 spots in IP. There is a gravel pit across the highway from the Henry's Lake webcam. Its fun when the wind is W or E. You can hike out to the north from that same parking lot & there's a spot called the wave. Basically about a 1/4 mile cornice feature that works best on a N wind. If you drive into the Henry's Lake main fishing access road & park at the boat ramp you can skin/hike 1/4 mile to the NW and there's a big hillside to play on when the wind is N, NE, & NW.

At Raynolds Pass - - exactly at the MT/ID line you can kite either side of the road & those spots work best on a N or S wind. You can pick up current wind data from web cams at each location.

Montana Kiters on facetard is sometimes chatting up where to kite & who is headed to where - seems like it's mostly on the weekends.
