I have March completely off work, and I need to check some bucket list items off.

I'd love to go to AK, get some great boarding in and hopefully the snowkite jam is still on in late March?

Or go to some place warm like Punta San Carlos or Brazil or Carribean and just kite till I drop.

Any suggestions? Anybody know about the AK Snowkite Jam or whatever its called?

Thanks!

Thompson Pass Kite Festival - it's a good gathering - coincides with Tailgate Alaska.

The pass is great and if you like to climb and glide have we got a treat for you!

Plus - there are half a dozen kite areas on your way!

Although - there is good wave kiting at that time around La Bocana and Abreojos Baja.
Traditionally when I head north from Baja in March I kite all the way up to San Felipe on the Cortez side. Had to leave early this year so I didn't get a chance to hit the pacific side.

PSC isn't what I'd call warm...I've only been there in the Fall but I hear Spring nukes with less swell and is probably cooler. Don't know if you're after waves but I had a good trip to SPI in April...waves on the wave side and flatter than flat on the flat side! And warm! Smile

What he said. Spring at PSC is fucking cold! Can be really fun though.
