Just because it can be done, doesn't mean it is a good or fun idea.
Who needs a 12m kite or bigger? Just rig two smaller kites and fly them at the same time.

With the amount of kite crashes and close calls at SI lately I see this idea going splendidly there _________________ My pictures of the beautiful PNW

Aside from the obvious inherent danger of simultaneously flying two kites, this is really progressive and cool (Note in recognizing the cool factor I am in no way suggesting this act should be attempted or copied locally...)
Think about it... you have two separate controls.
If you point one kite forward and the other back you get lift... Potentially extreme lift...
Like being kite towed behind a boat kind of lift.
What would happen if you pointed one kite forward and back looped the other during a jump?
I can imagine big air competitions taking on all sorts of new extremes with this concept.
Ohh and I can also imagine new wipeouts that might make Kevin Kearney's wipeout look like childs play. _________________ Kiting starts at 40MPH |
