So I'm building my courage to try the North slider. I can jump of the big kicker, cannot figure out the small kicker (losing balance on the kicker going left foot forward). I'm shit scared of the slider but determined to give it a try this season. How should I best approach it? My plan is to start right foot forward, unhook, slide the board to "attack it" toe edge first and try not to freak out. Does that sound like a good plan?

I like to do a little bunny hop (ollie) just before I get to the rail then turn the board 90° in the air and land on the slider with the bottom of the board instead of just turning the board and ramming into the part that is in the water.

Also, these are good tips:

https://www.thekiteboarder.com/2010/10/instructional-how-to-hit-your-first-rail/

(50 50 is riding straight down the rail with the end of your board pointing at the end of the rail. Boardslide is having the toe or heel edge facing the end of the rail)

Thanks!
I wish the water level was a little higher right now, I was looking to try that last weekend but opted for heading to Lyle since it was so low at ES. Hopefully next weekend will be better.
