Go to pdxgreen.com If you can't see the crossbar on the jetty then launching will be from the stairs. when the crossbar is showing there is at least minimal "beach" at base of the stairs. Not even close right now. If you have means to get out to the island there is enough sand showing to launch.

The Viet-Schlong recently put out a recruiting article in the local newspaper. . .

with the hot and sunny weather, be careful in those wooded, muddy, Viet-Schlong trail system down there.

Seems like people were kiting there over the weekend. Any confirmed beach yet? Can't quite tell by the cam myself.

from the web cam there should be beach towards the east side.

Once the horizontal part of the wing dam is exposed on Rooster Cam then there will be beach. Should be plenty of beach - wind is another story.
