I'm not sure what's more frustrating, waiting for it to stop raining in Portland or waiting for warm west winds in the gorge. If I don't get to kite soon, I'm going to go nucking futs!

I'll be trying the Event Site this afternoon. It might not be perfect conditions, but it's been nice to launch off the grass with just a few others this spring.

My corner of the Midwest has been pretty spotty for this time of year too. I went 2 weeks without kiting and about went nuts myself. Usually, we get a fall and spring season that sees us kiting 3-4 days a week.

I am happy/unhappy about getting good on the foil this spring.

But summer is around the corner! And hopefully, the spring winds kick in here.

It's windy right now in the gorge. Go kite.

Epic whitewater kayaking and epic skiing happening for the next six weeks ...... that should get you through to fair weather kite surf season...
