Starting this spring I will be extensively traveling to every continent and would like your help in selecting the top kite locations. My new employment opportunity will last 3 to 4 years and will allow me to visit any country.

I thought the best way to prioritize this list would be to crowd source this from our community. If you don’t mind, please leave these locations off the list since I have extensively kitesurf all these. USA, Canada, Brazil and Puerto Rico

If you don't already have one - get a copy of the book - The World Kite and Windsurfing guide.

I would go to chile. I was there for 4 months once and it blew almost everyday with 2 different 500 meter waves right in front of my house. Super cheap and excellent seafood. I stayed with hood river local Anton Pogue. Unfortunately he has lost his house and is in dire need. If you help him get it back it counts towards a free stay.

Western Sahara; Sardinia; Egypt; Portuguese and spainish coast

Wind seems to blows everyday in August at Dakhla 25-35mph. Sardinia has the best beaches with lots of opportunities to kiteboard (August, bigger kites). Going to Egypt this August (keeping fingers cross), it looks sooooo good! Go and report how it is... Smile Tons of kiteboarding along Portuguese and Spanish coast (August rarely below a 9m, lots of 11 & above). You could drive from northern Portugal down to tarifa and kite a ton.

There are so many good places along the Mediterranean.

So jealous.... Good for you!

I've been in El Gouna multiple times and recommend it a lot. Very safe place with steady winds most of the year. Always had 12 days of riding out of 14 day stays, and spent the 2 slow days on snorkeling and recovery. Also many places do kitesafaris where you stay on a boat and hop from island to island to kite some beautiful and empty spots.

I also heard great things about thermal winds around Tarifa in Spain - it's a pretty legendary spot in Europe. That and Prasonisi in Greece.

Tahiti is nice.

Bora Bora is especially well-suited for kiting.

never been but Mauritius looks tasty. Various spots in Indonesia? The Philippines? Manocra? Cape Town? I could dream all day.

Also wondering about additional openings in said employment opportunity.

Went to Peru a few years back and it is definitely on my bucket list for a return some time. Loaded with left hand point breaks and smooth and steady SW coastal winds.

Wow, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the north coast of Brazil! You can start kiting on the east side near Recife and head beyond Jericoacoara! You can kite anything from flat water lagoons to nice wave on the Atlantic. Plus the music and food are both awesome.

Brazil sounds amazing! However in the original post, the poster stated that Brazil has been explored/kited extensively by him, already.
