It looks like Jones is where the wind is this weekend! in an effort to save on gas Id like to camp. Any advice?
Along the saving gas line: Feel free to pm me if you would like to carpool as well
I live in PDX and can leave anytime after 5 today or tomorrow and would like to kite both days if possible. _________________ Stephen Hansen |

Clatskanie city park has some spots and allows use of the showers on the side of the community pool for $5. If you're looking for the more traditional in the woods camping there is some dispersal spots and a small campground east of Jones in the Clatsop county forest. |

X2 Clatskanie City Park!
To clarify, the camping fee is $5 ($10 w/elec) - the showers and everything else is free (at least it was summer 2015).
Absolute best choice for camping. Cheap, hot showers, flush toilets, grass, picnic tables, walking trail, swimming pool, tennis, softball, frisbee, etc, etc. Plus fishing for the kids or kayaking/canoeing, etc. right there within 150' of your campsite! Right in town - several restaurants, bars and coffee shops within a block or two. Safeway, laundry, etc all right there - everything within a 5min walk. Great place to hang-out.
9 mile drive to Jones Beach.
Can't beat it! _________________ Slack Lines Suck! Last edited by unbob on Sun Aug 14, 16 8:38 pm; edited 1 time in total |
