And now, yet another addition to the outdoor epicness of the PNW....

This marks the official return of play boating....

There is no return of play boating at the park now. FLOWS are lower than last years summer flows which were too low for good play. We will need to wait for some snow melt. Play boating has never stopped unless you are a fair weather boater. Some of the best playspots are seasonal on the fly play!!

Point taken, indeed this is actually a seasonal spot working best with the snow melt. But this year we are building up a good base so expect epicness to follow...

It's on, I been paddling the last two days and there were surfers out today staying on the wave. and it's only 200 cfs. You will be able to surf year round. I can't wait to see it at peek. Here is the cam link so see for yourself. At times it was a little busy but for the most part there was no wait mid day.

Water is held back at wintertime to fill the Cascade Lakes. Flow is increased kind b/c of snowmelt, but probably just as much if not more to provide/fill the irrigation canals for the farmers.

Growler of Boneyard RPM for the first Kiter who kites any either the white water or better yet the flat/smooth passage. Probably would need to be/best done on South wind b/c of the Colorado St. bridge.

Kite with a SS Rpm for a growler of Rpm!

Not sure on the water level, this will be the first season so guess we will find out as it goes down.. You can do spins and side surf but yeah that's about it, can't generate enough pop off the water yet.
