Looks good to me as long as you aren't going outside. Pretty much the same setup as Wednesday but a bit more westerly. Sunset has a lot more beach than Shipwreck and lot B now. Wish I could go...

Hi fellow Kiters,
So that was my first experience kiting in the pacific, having just moved from the east coast to Portland.
In the end, seaside winds were to light, so I went to fort stevens.
The ebbing tide and on shore winds made it a pretty hairy experience, washing me up a few times.. waves occasionally covered the whole beach, making my kite float when still setting up which was hairy. But after launching and getting going, the waves made for nice kickers.
I am not sure I would be comfortable going by myself again. The Pacific sure feels more wild than the Atlantic for some reason. Perhaps that is just because of the very large swell.
Today the winds are gusting slightly high for me... but I will certainly post next time I go.
