strut lookin like a Zorro symbol

So maybe someone will have a bit of insight into my problem. I bought a kite off of ebay.. "used twice, crispy" etc.. get the kite and it looks fine.. I make the mistake of trusting that the bladders are all fine.. it's a 6m so im frothing pumping this thing up in 45mph wind. totally amped.. look down and the center strut looks like a deformed Z. i was like, you idiot! should have blown it up first.. newbie mistake.. kept that strut clamped off ( its a slingshot fuel) go to pull the bladder later to see if it was just in wrong and the inflated strut looks fine.. pull it,put it back in, inflate the bladder.. looks fine.. another good wind day comes.. 50mph. pump it up. theres that damn Z look again, dont remember needing to call a masked bandit to help me out..

after awhile at pressure the strut looks fine (after a session) . thing hasnt blown and im just at a loss.. any ideas? aesthetically its just irritating the heck out of me!

i didnt, ill have to next time i pump it up. just was curious if someone had seen a strut do something funky like that before. its quite interesting. ive never seen it happen before.. you can tell if a bladder is twisted, but im not sure what this is.
