Seeking a computer programmer (autopilots developer) that is a Kiter to develop our RobotKite/tow-body control algorithms.

Hi, I am trying to find anyone that could connect me to an autopilot developer/control theory expert that is a Kiter too!
Ph.D. or Masters level, New Graduates or looking for a change…and cool project. Postion in the San Francisco Bay Area (SRI-Robotics in Menlo Park…not the Gorge, but…)

The full job description link is below, but what is not included is that I really want to hire someone that knows how to fly a kite (is a kiter and/or sailor) because the autopilot development will be considerably more intuitive.

Bryan Lake (2014/13 Kiteboard Slalom Racing WorldChampion) is on our team, as are other kiting and windsurfing mavericks who build the kites and tow-body. I’m a windsurfer, WaveSUPer, Kiter and lead a moderately sized program at SRI International (6 folks full time) developing a robot flow kite towing an underwater tow-body, all unmanned…it’s a very exciting project full of innovation and invention.

Please reply to the post and email if you have some suggestions (people or community boards to contact) at: WindSerf.RobotKite@Gmail.com

I'm a kiter, pilot, and I have an auto!--oh, but I bet you have to be smart, too.

Oh well, good luck on an interesting project and keep us posted! Another innovative company inspired by kiting and founded by a kiter,

There are a bunch of very smart marine robotics folks at University of Washington in both the dept. of oceanography and the applied physics lab.

Their gliders are so cool and so slow!
