If you've been following foiling, either recently or in the last couple of years, Adam has been pretty active as both a racer and board/foiler tester/builder on the worldcup scene.

As of this winter Adam made the move to step away from the racecourse and focus on the other aspects of foilboarding that appealed to him more positively, ie - freestyle, big air, wave riding, and just plain having fun on the foil.

Adam called me the other day to ask if we'd be interested in hosting a foiling clinic night at the shop.
He'll first be in Seattle to host a clinic with our friends up at Urban Surf in Seattle, then heading down to the Gorge to ride and hang out for a week or two.

FOIL CLINIC NIGHT WILL BE 6PM SATURDAY SEPT 5TH, STARTING AT 6PM!

MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW. IF YOU SEE AN ORANGE ELF FOILKITE OUT ON THE WATER WITH A FAST FOILER, THAT'LL BE ADAM!

Adam Koch. . . he was in the first kite vid I ever owned, Concept of Motion.

Some good segments on the Gorge, Floras, Bandon.

The clinic sounds great!

Thumb's Up I'm in. Everyone that rides my foil says it's quite nice.....so maybe it's time I actually give it a try. Shocked

I can probably make at least one extra foil board available for the clinic. will try and get the short bus back down here also. the short bus is crazy easy to learn on. its pretty much a set it and forget it ride. looking forward to this event!

Don't know where, but I'm in.

PS, Favorite place to foil (clinic) is still Jones Beach. Just returned from a week in the Gorge and although it's very very nice, with foiling I am almost always getting up on a smooth carpet and immediately: "Oh crap, there's someone in my way, How do I turn this thing?"
Also the mega-steady winds at Jones allows full foil focus with less kite input.

Has the Adam Koch foiling clinic taken place yet or is a date still pending?
