It was so crazy out there today I declined to participate in the chaos. If the water stays at this level (or higher) this weekend it will be a comical circus for sure! _________________ Slack Lines Suck! |

I'm normally a self launcher and lander, but there was just no way to self land today without being a hazard. Folks were helping one another out and very chill. That said, too many of us on too small of an area. We might need the grass back until the level drops. Tricky though, as the grass launch during this part of the season presents its own set of issues. Last edited by eric on Sat Aug 08, 15 8:23 am; edited 1 time in total |

The water should start dropping at some point today. There is a big barge coming up the river and once it passes they are going to drop the water back down. |

Why is the west edge higher?
Because debris (logs) wash up there during the off season.
The resultant wind shadow perpetuates a sand deposition zone.
Humans need to be smarter than eroded rocks.
Wise redistribution of drift wood & those toe-buster rocks from that point should be hauled up onto the ridge instead of hauled away. Help the stabilizing process with a few shovels of sand and the dune will self propagate. By spring this substrate will be buried in an elevated ridge of sand.
