Got a Airush Sector 54 to mow the lawn evenings after work at Stevenson. I took the board out and was shocked that it would not go upwind as well as my Slingshot Dialer. Anyway, I must not have screwed the fins in tight enough since one of the front fins came loose and is on the bottom of the river. I could buy a replacement fin set for $199 or they sell a set of two 22CM 10 degree cant high aspect fins for $129. The original front fins are swept back 20CM. Does anyone have experience with fin sets and how they perform on these boards? |

Oh as a disclaimer I just realized that I had the front fins swapped so the 5 degree cant was to the inside (dumb ass). |

Stick with the swept back fins it came with unless you want it to ride similar to a race board. Put the fins in correctly and it wil stay up wind. Where did you find the fins for $199? I may pick up a set. I've used and abused mine since they came out in 2012 |

Adventure kiteboarding web site said they had a set. I called and the guy is going to dig through the warehouse. Doesn't sound good. |

If you want something to try I have a slingshot mini tuttle tri-fin set in classifieds. $25
Not as big as the one you lost but may work to try for cheap. |

This pisses me off about Airrush because the same thing happened to me. First session and lost the middle fin, which took hours and $150 or so to replace. Despite many attempts I wasn't even able to communicate with or ever got a response back from AR so their customer service sucks. Finally replaced the fin. It was the last one they had as well so I have no resource to offer. I did get two really mellow, really fun light wind sessions on it this week complete with jumps, tricks and kite loops so the board proved to be the session saver that I bought it for. Hope you found a fin and never need to contact AR for anything. I blue lock tighted the fin bolts in. |

I have 4 mini-tuttle to FCS adapters someone can have if they need / want them. I got them used from Adventure Kiteboarding. Used them on a Sector 52 that I ended up selling in MX.
They are in HR - I will be back down on the 26th.
They have Slingshot fins in them now that come with em. _________________ "I have often regretted my speech, never my silence" ~Xenocrates |

I have an older 5'8" Celeritas where I cut down an old Curtis regular Tuttle fin to a mini-tuttle. All it took was a jigsaw and a belt sander. It made it an upwind machine but definitely lengthened the turn radius. It's for sale in Windances used section if you want to see that fin. |
