I've packed my 9m, 12m, and 14.5m kites together and carried them on the plane.
I don't think you can do this with any other kites.

I'll add I had a sweet session on my 7m cloud yesterday in the obx, 3ft+ waves, big swell outside and lots of chop, after three days of N wind the along shore current was strong, rips were running out 1/2 mile or so, etc. Wind was about 25 to 30mph. The kite behaved perfectly, gave high confidence, quick reaction and ideal drift allowing smooth gliding on waves that were lumpy and gnarly shaped (though not that big, it was 4 sec period and cross swell running too, some bigger "pyramidal" seas did occur.).

I had a great time in conditions that usually would be considered crap or dangerous depending in your level. The kite did not let me down, it was great. Probably could have also have used a 9 though because the current was fast...

Just wanted to add that, definitely still happy strutless and strapless!

RE: Tkb's review of the Cloud, remember everybody's opinion is subjective to what they are used to riding. I was a bit surprised that feedback wasn't better but then again, it was being compared to 15 or so other models and testers generally don't spend more than 30 minutes to an hour on the gear. I have a 6m first generation Cloud myself that I loved (but bladder kept blowing up for some reason so i sadly retired it) for its responsiveness and drift in the surf. Weird as different bars gave it different performance characteristics in wind range and low end grunt/top end window.

I will say that you should try the Cloud out for yourself for at least a full day's session if a not a few sessions if possible. They are different feeling and most people either love or hate the design. Haven't gotten the chance to try out Greg's V2 or bar yet so hopefully will be able to borrow Stringy's if I get up to the Hood this summer:-)

I see guys daily on these strut-less kites. Usually on foils, but not always. From what I've seen they are prime time.
My concern would be relaunching in a wave, but even with struts that's not easy.
