Accomodation in Hood River - June

Hi folks,

Heading to Hood River (from the UK) in June for some kiting.

Can anyone recommend a nice place to stay that won't break the bank?

maybe you could provide more specifics?
will you be alone? do you want a kitchen? hotel room?
will you be renting a car?
how much per night - reasonable price is in the eye of the beholder.

Wouldn't wan't to spend more than $40 a night.

I've taken a look at Hood river hostel, looks nice and its the cheapest place I've found yet. Do you know if its suitable for kiters (with all my equipment etc)?

Try to rent a wagon, minivan or suv. then you can sleep in it. tons of surf bums sleep in dark streets in town or at post canyon area or other places. free. there are showers at the hood river marina. what else do you need. be a real bum in da hood.
