Fri Mar 13, 15 1:27 pm Where to stay in South Padre |

We have a large group going and we welcome any input on places to stay, either a big house or something like the Tiki where we could get several units close to each other.
Thanks.

Not sure of when you will be there but being born and raised up here in AK I don't do well in the heat. I spend October and November there kiting when it's a bit more tolerable for me. - In SPI I stay at the Super 8 or the Holiday Inn - King beds & Jacuzzi tubs. It's the off season then and I get rooms for 50 bucks or so.
If you have more people a house would be ideal I suppose.
All the popular launches are close by - but for some really fun and less crowded riding hit The Shipping Lane, Barracuda Cove and the South Bank Flats!!!

I was there in November for 10 days and the rooms were the least expensive by far and the rooms were clean a decent. Staff was nice "Louis" and accommodating to kliters, had hoses to rinse your gear in the parking lots and a area to lay them out to dry on the south side of the parking lot. Some friends of mine rented a Junior Suite which slept 6 and had a kitchenette and a roof top patio right above it, "which anyone can use". You can walk to the Ocean side to kite or a 3 minute drive North to the North Flats area.
