We haven't had ANY wind here since Nov. 17th, which was about our best week of wind in 3 years.
Nope, Nada, Zilch wind in over a month................
Temps are now Way up from normal at this time of year. Normally we are mid-60's but have been mid-70's for awhile.
It's all because of the jet stream not funneling any cold fronts down our way. Hopefully that will change. The season here is usually Nov. thru Mar. with a break in between around Dec.
January tends to be really windy and cold. ( 50's and 25, Temp/kts). We will see if it does again or not this year.
Of course I got more skiing days on Hood Meadows this last week than Kitesurfing days here in FL in the month of DEC.
SO that AIN'T saying much for wind here!
Places to go: Sunshine Skyway bridge on NE/E winds.
Ft Desoto East bch on S winds.
North bch in Ft Desoto on N winds.
And any gulf beach on W/NW winds. |
