Hey All,

Some care, most don't, but here is a little video evidence of the last five months of wingsuit progression. Still very much an intermediate/beginner and plenty of more work before I am in Europe next spring to BASE this new toy.

Enjoy, Jon

Love your video! It look amazing up there. It is cool to see the progression as your skills evolve. Is that footage from every flight?

I like the "superman" story... Funny stuff...

Rob,

I have just over 70 wingsuit flights now, and have taken a camera on about a third of them. The video probably has footage from about 15 flights. I am taking the camera up less and less and have been using it more as a training tool, which means it does more good on someone else pointed at me. I am finally getting good enough that I can keep a camera on someone else, and this is what usually will prompt me to wear one in free fall.

I finally have ordered my own wingsuit and when it arrives and I become fully comfortable, the camera will start coming along again. Plan is to be standing on top of Monte Brento sometime next spring to take the big leap...

That is cool! Can you post a link to a website that sells good wing suits? I learned to kite by myself. I'm sure I can figure out the wingy thingy. Wink

I have a beginner suit for sale. Yeah, good idea... you will be fine. In fact, to heck with the airplane. Just come on over to Monte Brento with me. I'll give you a few pointers and then off you go... Perfect plan and what could go wrong!

I need a wingsuit from after 2009. I don't want an unsafe wingsuit.

But really... damn. What a rush, but I don't have the balls. Thanks for posting the vid!

Jon,

I enjoyed your video. It provides a lot of insight into the learning progression of wingsuiting. Too bad I'm too much of a chicken to try that stuff. I guess I'll have to stick to the safer sports like kiting.

Good luck in your endeavors and may you progress safely!!!

Very inspirational Bam. Hard to tell how much vertical trajectory you are all getting but must be some serious distance.

Finally actually bought my own wingsuit. Named the Green Flash, she flies like a dream. Ended up in San Diego last week for the first Green Flash flights and some great coaching from a few of my accomplished wingsuit flying friends down south.

Thought I was going to come back to skiing... Hmmm, better head back down south instead.
