Hey all!! If I'm looking at the data right Jones is the place to be tomorrow? If anyone has input I'm all ears. Other windy spots? Thanks

Seems reasonable. At least a 10 degree westerly thermal gradient in the 60 miles between Astoria and Kelso in the PM hours. Check see if the east wind gradients are still an issue (wind at Rooster) before hitting the road as this will kill it. You will know by 10 or 11 AM at the latest.

I think Jones will be very good this afternoon. There is already a westerly flow as of 1030am. I kite is calling for late afternoon low 20s, maybe stronger. High tide is around 3 pm, so it will be best after that with the outgoing tide adding a bit of opposing current.

Awesome day! 13 or more kiters in nuke alley. Steady wind and flat water. Hoping for more of the same tomorrow.

How was the wind direction? Ikitesurf sensor kept saying it was shifting dramatically.

Over by the ponds it was steady. The east end of the island was super gusty aroud 5pm, I didn't hang out there long. It was mostly on shore at jones beach proper.

Yah, I watched ikitesurf say it was blowing west and then quickly shift to a direct south. I'm thinking - thats offshore - totally sketch.

Good to know it was the osprey and not the wind gods.
