I'm pretty sure if you all showed up at once, he may just give you back the board....... and bake you cookies.... seriously. |

Yeah, was her board. Even confirmed in person by a member on this forum who went and met with the guy, verified the board and has the guys license plate and photo of the guy.
Tacoma police still won't do shit. Even after the Desmoines police (where it was taken) were pressuring them to do something, as they wanted to help, but couldn't because the person was out of their jurisdiction.
Such a bummer. Go Tacoma Police! Protect and serve... the thieves. _________________ Liquid Force Kiteboarding in the Pacific Northwest.

Get a Tacoma / Seattle crew to show up and steal it back. Sounds like the Tacoma police will not do anything about it. _________________ Slingshot | Ride Engine |Try before you buy | PM me

Yep, That's it.
Too lazy to read through this entire thread again, so here's my latest on this. I met the "seller" last year at our local very busy 7-11 parking lot. He spread the entire kite, bar, lines, board out on the parking lot for me and I took pictures. I included the guy's face, his license plate, and the gear as well as defining details that proved beyond any doubt that is was Tonia & Gregg's stuff.
Tacoma Police Dept wouldn't touch the idea of intervening as the theft occurred in Burien Wa (a neighboring jurisdiction).
I'm not a big guy. I'm not an aggressive person (normally), so I wasn't compelled to F-U and just grab the stuff. I'm pretty sure I could have offered him $200 or so and purchased it.
Funny... I was left wondering if he was really the crook since he was so damned blasé about everything. I asked him that since he clearly knew nothing about what this equipment is for how he came to possess it? "A friend gave it to me" He looked poor & stupid, but not like my impression of a crack-head. _________________ CGKA Member

Perhaps someone should flag it as stolen on eBay. I am not sure though if that would do much... |

Just logged into my eBay account and searched for a resource in eBay for illegal crap. Sounds like they will do nothing either:
"Here's what we found for "stolen"[ Previouspage ]
We don't allow stolen property to be sold on eBay. It’s against the law and against eBay policies to sell stolen property.
If you believe that an item on eBay may be a stolen item, please:
1. Get the item number and the seller's user ID.
2. Inform your local police and ask them to get in touch with us. You can find local law enforcement officers on the USACops website.
3. Tell the officers to email us at stopfraud@ebay.com
Please note that we can only investigate such a serious allegation if it comes from the police." _________________ CGKA Member
