Looking forward to the blowout, it's my favorite event of everything we participate in or help coordinate.
As Carol said we've postponed due to low wind last weekend and a poor forecast and other conflicts for the windsurfers this weekend. The windsurfers also have a race on Saturday the 9th which is why we're aiming for the 10th now.
Format this year is going to be the Pro-Am teams like the past couple of years with the addition of one or two windsurfers per team. Lowest total team score wins. We'll also be tracking overall placing, kiter place, windsurfer place and elapsed time.
Looking forward to getting the windsurfers involved again after having things separate for the last few years. I've also reached out to the Hood River and Cascade Locks Yacht clubs to see if any of their sailors want to join in this year.
I'd love to see a race with kiters, windsurfers and sailboats in it. Some safety things to figure out but I'm sure we can make a plan to deal with it.
We'll keep things updated on here as we figure it out.

I'll get with Grom and then update the website and info in here but I think we're looking at opening registration around 10 or so, riders meeting around noon, launching begins around 1 with first possible start at 2. Depending on wind this could push back an hour or so to make sure its filled in all the way through.
We're working on some ideas to improve the launching process and add a bit more strategizing for the team captains.
