So, after getting laid off on Thursday (9 years at Microsoft, no warning whatsoever) I think I need a vacation. I was thinking about where to go, then I figured, why spend a bunch of money traveling when my favorite place is Hood River! So I think I'm gonna move there for the rest of the summer. Does anybody know someone who might have a room for rent? I already got one lead for a place within walking distance of the White Salmon sandbar for $450, but it isn't available until mid August. If I'm gonna do this, I want to go ASAP. An alternative would be to rent or buy a van or small RV. Then I could be mobile and spend a couple weeks on the coast too! Maybe someone has a ski buddy who only uses their RV in the winter? WINDUDE Since 10 Jun 2010 558 Posts GORGE!
