whatever. this vid puts the oversafe boringness of our sport in perspective. also makes snowkiting and paragliding look like weak geriatric alternatives.

Oh Yah! That’s some nutty shit!! I like how the pilot uses his skis as skidders to jib off rock fields... Confused

Hey no problem - I bet a waroo can handle those conditions... Smile
Didn't someone say that a waroo can eat gusts and spit 'em back out... Wink

Not right. Poor skis.

Love the audio - wonder if the screaming wind parallels the screams in his head.

Gabe,

Every sport can be taken to every level, and you should check out some of the crazy aspects of each sport.

http://www.acromania.nl/photo/index.php?album=/Acro%20Movies

For sure this hybrid of parachuting/paragliding/skiing is crazy, but the pilot has a lot more control that you might think and by adjusting his trim can create significant lift at anytime glide out of the danger zone. But this intermediate paraglider pilot is full on impressed with this guys nerves and skill to stay in that close...

Pepi at Second wind is trying the get a JN 13m wing for a few of us Hoodie nuts to try out on Mt. Adams. Fingers crossed that they send the goodies... Another kick ass local pilot who is going to blow some minds this winter is Alex Peterson... Keep an eye out for his winter exploits as I heard is has an insane cliff scoped out this winter to snowkite his Ozone Nano off of.

Bam

Wow! Raul is amazing. Where does he take the sport after that? Some of those vids on acromania show people corkscrewing too... not sure what is tougher but when the glider luffs, it looks like that is the point where the most danger exists.

i was out on the beach at pacific city one day and people were coming down doing all that crazy stuff... they would land, grab their chute and run over the hill back to the airport and do it again. I think they jumped like 5 or 6 times that day.
