HE HIGH SURF ADVISORY IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PST TODAY.

A STRONG STORM MOVED ACROSS THE REGION MONDAY EVENING. THIS STORM
GENERATED A LARGE AREA OF HEAVY SWELL...WHICH WILL CONTINUE TO
POUND THE COAST THIS MORNING.

SEAS OF 23 TO 25 FEET WILL CONTINUE THIS MORNING...BUT GRADUALLY
SUBSIDE. SEAS WILL BE 18 TO 21 FEET BY NOON...AND CONTINUE TO
GRADUALLY SUBSIDE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.

SEAS OF THIS MAGNITUDE ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LARGE BATTERING
WAVES THAT WILL CRASH ASHORE. THESE WAVES CAN ROLL LOGS AT ANY
TIMES PRODUCING DANGEROUS CONDITIONS ON THE BEACHES ALONG WITH
AREAS OF BEACH EROSION ARE POSSIBLE. LARGE SNEAKER WAVES ARE
POSSIBLE DURING THESE HIGH SEA CONDITIONS.

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN
THE ADVISORY AREA...PRODUCING RIP CURRENTS AND LOCALIZED BEACH
EROSION.
