				| I'm planning to buy a skimboard for my 5 year old (and considering picking-one-up for myself for regular skimming and kiting.) He'll be using his for skimming at the sandbar. I know nothing about 'em. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.
Any recommendations on the material? Can I get away with a cheap wooden skim for the yute? What type for me?

 Thanks.

				| This post-skimboard sandbar summer session sibdown scene in the van is due to Funktron. The yute-stoke-o-meter redlined and broke on this outing. One of the best of the summer. Thank you.
