Timberline will be open until the end of March. Ski in the morning , kite in the afternoon. Or rent a Mountain bike and go do laps at post canyon.

Yep, engineer.

Just want to be prepared. We flew all the way to Tahiti last year, and didn't have everything I wanted.

Ok here is what I have thus far

I think im god on these
1. Conditions - it will be hit or miss. It can be great this time of year, so lets hope it will be.
2. 3/2 - Nope, get a 5/4 maybe with a detachable hood
3. Good Locations? - Event Site seems to be the best first time int the Gorge site
5. How crowded is it that early in the Season - Early is good, shouldn't be too crazy even if the conditions are great

Still need some help on these

4. Rent a board - Local shops? I know of Big Winds but it looks like their rental website hasn't been updated since 2011.

6 Where is the best place to stay in Hood River? - I think I am leaning Best Western right now.

1). West winds this weekend: should be firing Stevie to 3 mile.
2). Detachable hood. . .Getting a 5/4, might as well get all the bells and whistles. Seems to me when I use a 5/4 the non detachable hood doesn't get in the way and is nice to have as an option; especially if one gets dunked. Detachable hoods get lost.

3). Shallow water and launch and land spots can be tight/hard commodity it find in June and July. More so in June and July when usership is high and so are the river levels.

4). Lots of options to rent or purchase.
6). Best place to say in HR? Well if you asked the Dangler, he so going to say that it's at your mother's. Lots of options. What are you looking to do when not kiting?
