Hey there,
I'm new to oregon and plan on kititng the gorge and coast this summer. SPecifically, I'll be heading to Pacific city one weeknd and Manzinita another. Anything to know about kiting in these locations?
I'm an experinced wave rider from the NC region of the east coast.
Thanks!!

Pacific City is a great little town with beach, sand dune, and big haystack style rock. Plus it is the only place on the entire Oregon coast with a brew pub on the beach. Have a beer in one hand while your toes are in the sand! That being said there is no summer wind there - so you will not be kite surfing.
For the North Coast focus all your efforts on Manzanita.....The most consistent high wind location on the North Coast of Oregon.
Kite sizes will range from 7M-12M at Manzanita.... For more advice on Manzanita (Manzo) - Hit the form up again closer to the season....
