I was there solo from about 1:30 to a little after 4. I'm only an advanced beginner, and this was my first time kiting completely solo. Not a soul in site for 2 hours on the water. I stayed pretty close in to the Or. side practicing slide transitions. The Ozone Instinct is a kite that self launchs/lands very easily... especially in 14-15mph winds. And with the Jones Beach sand (toxic deposits?) the LE doesn't get cut up. This will be my new home turf as it's an easier drive from Tacoma, to Jones than Tacoma to Jetty Island.

Betty:

we rode til dusk and it was still windy.

Adam:

I was on a 9m and 127 Sol. First thing I did was bee-lined upwind to the flats on the other side of the island. That was my first time there (flats) and it was a blast.

Wow! I can't believe you all are going up to the flats. That used to be my playground back when I did that other sport. That is the location where I made my first planing jybe a long time ago.

Awesome, totally jealous, had to work - got a tradeshow till tuesday - then back in gear

Tough week - lost my cell phone on monday.

Car got busted into last night - broke glass - tossed my shit into the street didn't take a thing - they left:

3 control bars - one brand new TD setup
3 wetsuits
Fancy helmut - new harness
essentially all my crap except my kites and boards
and about $600 in tools and my travel fishing rod.
All of which I was about to take out for the season.

I feel luckkkkky

Glass repair guy - says he fixes 5 of these every morning.
