Any idea what the swell will be like today? Where are you guys thinking of heading at the coast? Ft Stevens sounds good to me if the waves are too big at Manzanita or Lincoln City... |

My guess would be to attack some downwinders between Sunset beach and Seaside...no reason to drive any further. The swell is not small, but it should be well organized. Call me before you head out... |

The coast looks like it should be good. Where are you guys thinking? I'm down for Manzo, sunset, or Ft. Stevens. Hope to see you all on the beach.

dudes! it was epic! Water was surprisingly warm, wind was solid 13m.
That Nehalem River is something else, like a escalator upwind. Ride some waves, then take a trip back up on the escalator. |

there appears to be a nehalem river/bay at manzanita. are both of these good upwind rides? |

Nehalem Bay is a great flatwater spot but you gotta get it on a southwesterly day or else it's gusty as crap. Also, if you hit it at high tide you'll need to hike up the spit away from the parking lot a ways to find a spot to rig and launch. If that's not happenin then try to Beach side of the spit for some good downwinder/wave action or head down south of Nehalem bay to Manhattan beach 15 minutes for some less challenging swell. |
