On Sunday I launched from Dalton to do a downwinder to Rooster. Before I launched I watched a guy on a yellow flat kite launch on the boat ramp. The kite stalled, inverted and dropped into the powerzone. It "popped" back and relaunched HARD and HOT! It picked up the dude and blasted him into the shallow water. It looked like he missed the rock pile and the boat ramp.

I have not heard anything more. I assume he is ok. Does anyone know if he is ok?

Wow Mark... Shocked .....I've only launched off Dalton only 1 time so far...I didn't have any problems...Smooth launch...though I made sure I was in the water during the launch - at least waist deep.
Is Dalton normally a pretty safe launch.... Question I wonder if the shrubs/bushes along the boat ramp cause any problems with the wind flowing through steady'errr....I got a little friend called a wood chipper that might help.
But, It looked like Sunday was crank'n enough to avoid any launch problems...I guess sometimes, the wind can really be unpredictable...
Hope the guy your talk'n about didn't get hurt...
To all, my advise is to launch while your in the water (D-Point)....Hospital bills are expensive...
