what do you do in SPI when it doesn't blow? in Baja you can snorkel, go on some cool hikes, mt bike, dirt bike, scuba dive (not all right in la ventana but in the general area)

if you got all that hooked up then baja sounds sweet. Very Happy

we played a lot of xbox in texas last time. also walmart and SPI Kiteboarding shop like Hein says.

honestly I have been to SPI and gotten 2 days out of 7, so if you want sure thing wind, don't go to SPI in the fall.

That's why I am aiming for spring this time.... April is after most the spring break action and before the big summer rush. Prices are still cheap cheap cheap! Very Happy

Now that Alaska is flying to La Paz non-stop from LA, the airfare should be cheaper and you won't have to deal with Cabo customs/ crowds.

Also, don't forget about all the epic surf spots around Todos Santos and kiting at Los Barriles.

Its all in America!

Hang out at SPI Kiteboarding.
Watch Cable TV while surfing the net in the moho.
Shop at the Super Walmart.
Head to Home Depot for some materials to extend the mini kicker.

That sounds even less atractive than gorilla golf in the rain a Baja Joe's

It's a bonus to have some options yu like if it doesn't blow.

I had mostly light wind, some days not very worth while kiting at Padre last Thankgsgiving week. It was sunny and warm and not a bad place to enjoy that.

La Ventana produced very little kitable wind the second of two weeks Febuary 2005, and more rain than they "ever" get that time of year. I found just walking around through the 10 million cacti somewhat interesting.

Another differance is you will probably be commuting to the kitebeaches by car at SPI. In La Ventana, a car could be nice, but you can easy do without and just walk out onto the beach in front of most of the places you can stay there. Cool
