wow...didn't think that Doug's beach reading was so literal! glad you got some time in...I've done a ton of event site drive bys after seeing 10 or more kites in the water to search for something better eastward, but what a drive from Portland it turns out to be...
today was probably good practice for Rooster Rock in the next month or so! |

Lyle was psycho today!
Glad you ventured back Adam - thanks for the launch. I was ready for some 40+ after an hour of torture at the sandbar - note to self (remember to put a shit load of sand on kite in stupid crazy wind when rigging) - got everything set to go at lyle and this dude comes in - I stop, land him - turn around and my 7m waroo takes flight - luckly the bar wraps around a log - the log begins to set sail - we grab log and wrestle the mother back to earth.
Put some 15m lines on the waroo(and waited for the wind to drop a bit)[q |
