I was the gentleman that saw the shark and it was definately not a dolphin. I am a avid fisherman and have seen many speicies. This was a 7 foot shark. I tripped out hard! Guess what guys, they are out there and if you decide to go deep sea fishing on your tack out. Dont fall off the board. You just may be trolling in the wrong spot.

There is no such thing as a shark. Superman killed them all the in the 70's.

Seriously though, this is too much. For the sake of our body dragging being peaceful, and not full of mental images, lets stop talking about the sharks.

Question will the RT ever learn to feed it/himself, or are there just too many tasty offerings under the bridge?

Give the RT something to eat, it/he will eat for a day, teach the RT to cook it/he will eat forever. . .I now see y "Mike Hawk" says "DO NOT FEED THE TROLL".

Hey: I just try not to think about those things higher on the food-chain when I'm kiting out there. . . especially when I'm trolling for my board on the outside--I persoanlly think those big fish can sense fear; and some how that makes u more tasty lookin. The outside is a relative thing of course. At Manzo, the waves break rather close-in because the gradiant is steeper than up north (south jetty to the Trollatorium).

Where did u see the shark; how far out were u from shore/dry land?

Any idea of the type of shark it was? Question Question

Off topic still, but I guess that first sharky pic with the kayak is real... Got bored and searched online.

Here's another pic from the same "photoshoot/article".

"Sitting in a 3.8-metre sea kayak and watching a four-metre great white approach you is a fairly tense experience. Although we had extensively tested the sharks' reactions to an empty kayak and had observed no signs of aggression, this gave us little comfort as we eyed a great white heading straight for us, albeit slowly. Just a metre or so from the craft it veered off, circled and slowly approached from behind. It did this several times, occasionally lifting its head out of the water to get a better look. Then it lost interest, and as it continued on its way we were able to follow a short distance behind. Once we'd come to terms with having nothing between ourselves and a four-metre shark except a thin layer of plastic, our kayak made an ideal research platform for observing great white behaviour in shallow water. Its advantages are twofold: it is inconspicuous and appears not to cause the sharks to alter their behaviour for long, and it allows us to watch them in a natural situation, as it is not necessary to attract them to us with food. "

I'm with you. But to the point, Manzanita sucks but it's so windy you can boost HUUUUGE there.
