rumor has it the landlord was collecting rent last nite at the south jetty in Florence. Some lucky tenant escaped with his life and got thirty some stitches after pounding the fish for some more time on the planet. Tom Larson you are both luckey and not.

I love the statement: "We're going to go up to Winchester, I think and there's just other spots around that might be a little safer," surfer Nicholas Ingram said.
I heard there weren't any sharks in the water up there!!!!

Less sharks at Winchester?? There's been more documented shark attacks at Winchester then anywhere else in Oregon.
If you want to be truly horrified, read Kenny Doubt's book "Surfing With the Great White Shark" - The story on Josh (Cleanline) in the latest Kiteboarding refers to that incident - Josh was there and basically held the guys inards together while they were waiting for the ambulance.

JR. where are you? I need my fish repellent ,
Safety in numbers? I guess they while eat the other guy
With the size of the bite that fellow tasted of JR.
I'm glad he spit him out (bit his surfboard in two lengthways and gave Jr. some nasty scars about 2 ft. apart )
Surfys at Florence aren't too swift "heading to winchester" oops
boy that'll make the lighthouse crew happy

damn that was pretty good yesterday. a little more swell would have been nice, but there was the occasional set of reasonably large waves rolling through, and everyone seemed to be playing the same game and staying out of each others way.
i'm starting to appreciate high wind/small kite wave riding.
