|
|
A massive dump of snow hit SW Montana in the past 48 hours. There is a solid 24 inches all around Bozeman. Really, go any direction, for hundreds of square miles and one can find kiteable powder snow conditions.
Today Cale and I were both flying our 12m Manta3. He took a couple of photos. I'm out there.. ...in the distance.
What's up for tomorrow? Since there is no strong jet stream effect, thermal and gap effect winds are going to predominate for the short term (exception: there is a small low pressure disturbance rolling through Sat). With that in mind, Norris Hill is one choice (it worked today). Livingston area might have been a good choice, too. It was hitting over 20mph there all day. The Harrison area has lots of wind swept range that is plastered white.
So, check the net and roll N S E or W. Wherever the wind is, you'll find snowkiting!
See ya out there,
Noah

Terrorize that terrain, looks so sweet--esp compared to the Camas 4+ inches.
