Never done north coast downwinders only kited in the ocean once at Manzanita.
Which access point do 2wd cars use to get on to the beach - Sunset? Then drive north setup kite ride south, packup gear hitch hike back up to car and repeat?? Or is it better to park car south and then hitch a ride north so if i don't get a ride i'm not stuck miles from my car?
I'm heading out tomorrow so if anyone wants to set up a shuttle pm me your cell # and we can try and hook up.

Hate to break it to ya, but that thing ain't real.
And, don't worry, you'll die in many other ways before a shark gets u kiting.

More people die from Bee stings than shark attacks.

| Maybe you'll get to kite with a big whale like I did on the LotB to Sunset Beach Downwinder last Friday:-) Is was so awesome. Although, Kodiak said I was out a little too far that day.

This is true, but more people walk across the lawn barefoot, than swim in the ocean, no?

Did a tastey Down Winder yesterday with Sasquatch, Gman, and Chanson. 12 miles to Del Rey as the crow flies, but the trackstick recorded 19 total miles in just under 2 hours.

man its been sweet... small waves but wind has been great, nice and steady the whole way down, and lots of warm weather. saw barfly, sasquach, slither, kramecicle, boardrider, seattle chris, troll, jack, tinyE, colby, mark, doyle, and many many more.
got a few legit rides on the surf... unhooked one handed slack lines for a few seconds, fun
Oh and this one is for the manzo crew:
