I aint payin' for iwindsurf no more!
What are peoples' favorite free sites for wind conditions/forecast?

Personally, I have trouble reading numbers when I take my brain medication so http://www.hatchcam.com/ is pretty cool or
http://www.cityofstevenson.com/cam_river.html
The problem is they both go black at night, and you can't tell whats it goin to do tomorrow until it happens... any help?
I heard there's one with graphs and colors and stuff... anybody?

this one's alright. but they don't forecast over the winter months, same as iwindsurf. gives you a general idea if you don't want to pay for the meteorologist.

i agree with an earlier thread re: ikitesurf/iwindsurf.... we ought to have some type of human forecast over the winter months. even if it is a weekly guesstimate............................ ????????????????????

This link appears to be broken. Can you check the URL again?

I use WindontheWater all the time! It is a sweeeeet site that has cams, forecast, windsensors, etc. I have noticed that from time to time the link appears broken. I usually just check back in 5 minutes or so. The link is correct.

...to the guy who built that site (can't remember your name) NICE WORK! Very Happy

Another thing I forgot to add was you can access the wind sensor information on your cell phone! But like magicmaker said, its not quite as accurate as ikite...but then again, its free!

Yeah, the public sensors around hood river aren't very accurate to the river,
but I usually check webcams and pressure gradients to get a better idea if
the wind is blowing and if it will keep blowing.

The webpage is a little flaky due to the cheap webserver I have it on.
When it doesn't connect, I just try again in a few minutes.
I'll upgrade it before next season to something more reliable.

Back to the original question, here are the free gorge forecasts that I
link to from wotw, most are provided all year:

http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/total_forecast/text_only.php?wfo=pdt&zone=orz041&county=orc065

thanks
