There is no rationale for shredding near water-scooping aircraft scoop zones.
Sometimes you have to just stay on shore.

Too true! I've kited fairly close to the fixed-wing fleet that practices at Lyle - not intentionally; they caught me by surprise so I altered course and stayed out of the channel swell after their first pass. The pilot waved and seemed not to mind, but dang, the concentration and precision they must have to execute - they are heroes with big brass ones in my view - we shouldn't distract them. They seem to be looking for the smoothest water to skim, too. Good message!
