December has come in like a LION...

I borrowed my wife's camera to take a few photos of the Rainbow Smoke/Spray going down at Rooster, to my surprise there was a KITE up when I pulled up, just one ... and my vote for MOST STOKED KITER of the WEEK.

Not sure we'll ever know how windy it was since the meter is down, but it was well over 50 from my limited knowledge, maybe even 60? I don't know how to guess based on the water conditions, but let's just say it was NUKIN'

Ryan W pushing the limits - Yes he got in safe...

December is for KITING!

Mc

Cooler heads prevailed yesterday as some of us skipped the 38 to 40 average wind speeds and 40 degree temps at Stevenson and settled for similar air temps and averages of 24-28 and a really narrow 6mph lull to gust ratio for some of the steadiest winds I've foiled at Viento. The scenery was spectacular! gotta remind yourself where we play.

Two things I learned yesterday,

My complete foil setup with the board and a 111 mast fit in the back of my car when needed.

Don't stash your key to your car near the woods under a certain leaf because the state parks maintenance may come along and use the leaf blower and you may never find it, luckily I did, sheesh!
