No but I have foiled with a long mast at the Nehalem State Park boat ramp at Manzanita. Sw winds mostly but easterlies work before noon when Rooster is averaging 40 plus. Tide doesn’t effect it much but at high tide there might not be much sand. Lots of logs to tether launch though and stand able far enough out. There’s a sandbar on the far side that is obvious on satellite maps but also one north of the boat ramp mid channel thats shallow at low tide. I generally stay south of the ramp
A lot warmer than the ponds. I’d imagine other coastal bays could work well too, anyone have a favorite? |
