Does anyone have a tip for removing FCS II fins from board? I have Slingshot Celeritas 2016 that I can't get the fins to pop off for travel. I've watched a few videos, but nothing seems to work and I'm afraid of damaging the board.

It takes a lot of force to remove the fins. You won't damage the board.

The trick is to pad the sharp edge of the fin with a rolled up towel - it's hard to generate enough force with your bare hand on the sharp edge of the fin - it hurts!

First - make sure that there's no screws in the screw holes. It's possible someone didn't understand the Type2 box doesn't need screws and put in screws anyway.

Second - Use a rolled up towel or rag to protect your hand as you will be slamming the back of the fin - this is the sharp edge of the fin.
Use your hand to bang or pull sharply up and towards the front of the board.
Don't try with your bare hand against the sharp edge. Use the towel.
It takes a sharp pull to free the fin.
A slow and steady pull will not get the job done.

If it's still stuck - try banging a rubber mallet or short length of 2x4 against the back of the fin via the towel.

+1 for the rubber mallet. It works every time.

Had great success with a little WD 40.
