The weather here in Hood River at 2:22 p.m. is high overcast with moderate wind. It looks like it could rain, but it isn't at the moment.

Spent the day at the bar. Good sesh on my 9, then it started to get real up and down and then started raining and died. Cleared up and picked up for a sunset session on my 13.

The wind made a remarkable recovery late. I rallied at 7:30 p.m. and caught a session at the sandbar as well; it was fun making speed runs downwind of the main sandbar in the 1/2 inch micro chop. I think it may have been KiteKarl who launched me? I was on a red 16.5 Gaastra.

Was having the session of my life at SS on my 13m... then I crashed it, relaunched inside out, crashed again, LE blew up. Halfway across the river, probably closer to WA than OR.
Swam back, took my bar and board, kite stayed there, bye bye kite.
So if anyone sees a red/black Yarga 13m washed up somewhere, give me a ring.

Sorry about the kite Phil, I know your not a big fan of 5th lines but one probably woulda prevented that. We put them on our Rhino 2's as soon as we heard about 5th lines, those kites love to invert when relaunching and pop goes the LE, but not anymore.
