Anyone launch for BB beach recently? Is it clear? Last year it was pretty overgrown a few weeks after the big cleanup |

I have not been there since last year. Very disappointed to see that it had grown back considerably. We spent a lot of time and energy bringing in over 100 yds. of material and making that site. My main concern back then was it would just grow back and all our efforts would be wasted. We had a plan in place to spray the blackberry bushes regularly and have annual work parties to trim and maintain. There were also plans to extend it westward to make a west wind launch site. Cascade Locks was part of this development and I don't know what has become of there involvement. Maybe Adam from CGKA has more information. We probably need a volunteer to oversee and manage this site. Otherwise it will go back to an unusable launch. |

Its a really cool lanuc, I love the setting. Easiest way would be to leave off two goats there for a few weeks. They would make short work of it |

The CGKA is working on some plans for a follow up clean up and maybe another Fall Beach Clean Up BBQ.
Please stay tuned and ready to help out! _________________ [b:13763ca0d3]The CGKA is your advocate for Kiteboarding in the Gorge! [i:13763ca0d3] Join now: [/i:13763ca0d3]GorgeKiter.com/join[/b:13763ca0d3] |
