Anyone think its worth checking it out? I have had the worst luck calling it in the past.

Yes. Already at 18 knts, and I expect more. I don't see why it shouldn't continue into the evening.

I'll be there by 2 at the latest.

Looks like it should go tomorrow, but it depends on how quickly the clouds burn off, and if they persist inland to any great extent. The general setup looks good, but details could keep it from being as good or as early as it was today.

And it was good today - starting quite early. I was on my 9m over on the Washington side (about 50% depowered), and I could have easily been on my 7m.

Clouds pushed in much further and deeper today than yesterday. That's thanks to the great winds we had at Jones.

They're burning off, but the wind will definitely come up later than yesterday, and it may not be as strong. Still looks like a decent setup, just maybe not as epic.

This is a pretty typical pattern. When we get such a strong push at Jones (with the great winds), that will bring more marine air past the coast range, and the next day may be slower to develop at Jones.

But it will be a good day for the gorge. I've heard this called the "Jones - Swell City connection". A good day at Jones will usually be followed by a good day at Swell City (and the rest of the central gorge).
