Sorry if this is a stupid question...

How is the water quality around Hood River? Was just reading about all the pollution in the Gorge and it doesn't sound good.

Do people have health issues associated with the water? |

My pee glows in the dark but that's about it.

No health issues so far or that I have heard of other than "river nose".

compared to surfing in southern California, the Gorge water quality is outstanding. I used to get sick twice a year from surfing polluted water in San Diego.

I guess there have been a few e.coli outbreaks, but that's just poop, right? |

Who can't use another marble in their sack? Besides, it helps make a more pronounced Moose Knuckle. |

next time you have river nose, check the pollen count. For some reason, I don't get rivernose July-Sept but whenever specific trees are blooming I get it bad in May and June. Anybody else have similar trends? Big watershed, lots of pollen _________________ Misinformed |

Had River Nose, Lake Nose, and any other open water nose my entire life. Totally pollen related. Just take one of the 24 hour allergy pills before you go and generlly that will keep the nose clear. Take it after, and very difficult to catch up. |

River nose, but it's most likely pollen related. I do hose myself off after getting out though... Event site perk. _________________ If you're in PDX hit me up, I'm looking to meet kiters in town. I'm close in NW. |

My river nose is definitely worse in the Spring (allergy season) and proportional to how much water I get up my nose when falling in. An antihistamine/decongestant pill will usually fix it, and a good post session nasal flush with tap water in the shower helps a lot also. |
